The exhaust manifold, located at the rear of the engine, is responsible for directing post-combustion gases away from the cylinders. It connects to the engine block, collects exhaust gases from each cylinder, and channels them into the exhaust pipe leading to the muffler and tailpipe. Due to exposure to extreme temperatures, it is typically manufactured from heat-resistant materials such as stainless steel, ductile iron, or high-temperature alloys.

Given its complex internal passageways, casting-particularly investment casting (also known as lost-wax casting)-is one of the most common methods for producing exhaust manifolds. This process is widely used for manufacturing intricate engine components, turbine blades, turbochargers, and exhaust systems.

EXCELLENCE IN INNOVATION
Simons Company optimizes casting process design to ensure high performance while achieving lightweight construction, thereby reducing operational energy consumption. In response to market demands, Simons has also introduced new materials such as Inconel, which offers exceptional corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength, and thermal fatigue resistance. These mechanical properties ensure vehicle reliability and durability even under extreme operating conditions.
